Overwhelmed teaching French to your kindergarten students? Kindergarten is open-ended and inquiry based- it's truly wonderful to grow and learn with our students! Sometimes planning in advance can be difficult through an inquiry lens. Because there are no specific language targets for French in kindergarten it can be easy to get swept up and overwhelmed. Here you will find my goals for each month of the year for French. It includes targets for oral language, the topics of our writer's workshop, the read alouds I will read, the songs we will sing and the letters we will investigate.
It is important to note that this is all subject to change depending on their level and interest as they grow as learners and as I get to know them! Having an idea of where I want to go helps me focus in on my planning but doesn't define what I do on a daily basis.
