Description

This packet would be a great addition to literacy centers, literacy stations, morning work, or Working with Words!! It is a bundle of three other Cut-and-Paste Word Work Sets!! There are over 200 ready-to-use pages for your kindergarten classroom!!

In the first set, the activities focus on letter recognition. Here are the contents:
4 Pages focusing on matching uppercase and lowercase letters

5 Pages focusing on sorting letters into uppercase or lowercase letters

26 Pages on which students sort into 2 categories: uppercase or lowercase. There is one of these for each letter.

30 Sorting Pages: One page for each letter on which students sort into 2 categories: the target letter or not the target letter. A variety of fonts are included on these 30 pages. Two different pages are included for the letters Aa, Gg, Ii, and Tt.

9 Letter Sorts with three different letters each

In the second set, the activities focus on letter sounds. Here are the contents:
5 Pages focusing on matching letters with pictures for beginning sounds

26 Sorting Pages: One page for each letter on which students sort into 2 categories: begins with the target sound or does not begin with the target sound.

8 Beginning Sound Sorts with three different letters

5 Pages where students sort pictures based on whether the target sound is at the beginning or end of the word

5 Vowel Sorts: one for each vowel. Students sort pictures into columns for short vowel and long vowel

4 Digraph Sorts: one for /c/ and /ch/, one for /s/ and /sh/, one for /t/ and /th/ and one for /w/ and /wh/.

In the third set, the activities focus on word families and reading cvc words. Here are the contents:

40 Short Vowel Word Family Pages: these pages each focus on a different short vowel word family. Students read the words and then glue the matching picture.

17 Long Vowel Word Family Pages: these pages each focus on a different long vowel word family. Students read the words and then glue the matching picture.

21 Building cvc Words Pages with the same vowel sound: on these pages, all of the words have the same medial short vowel sound.

10 Building cvc Words Pages with mixed vowel sounds: on these pages, there are five pictures with one for each short vowel sound.

This packet is designed to last the entire kindergarten year; there are over 200 pages to provide many opportunities for students who need many exposures to master these critical areas of early literacy.
