Description
This bundle includes the task card lesson and review games covering key politicians of the sectionalism crisis during the mid 1800s.
Use these task cards to help students learn about key politicians during the sectionalism crisis of the mid 1800s. Students will explore the viewpoints of Daniel Webster, Henry Clay, John C. Calhoun, Abraham Lincoln, Stephen Douglas, and John C. Breckinridge. The task cards cover their views over political power, the economy, and slavery.
In the first review game, students come to the board and compete to “swat” the face of the correct politician based on the description. This activity is a fun and quick way to reinforce learning over Henry Clay, Daniel Webster, and John C. Calhoun.
In the second review game, Students work collaboratively to answer higher order thinking questions about 6 key politicians during the sectionalism crisis of the mid 1800s: Henry Clay, Daniel Webster, John C. Calhoun, Abraham Lincoln, Stephen Douglas, and John C. Breckinridge.
