Description

This lesson includes the following resources: projectable lesson slides, nonfiction article about Bachata music, and a scaffolded "key detail sort" activity. This lesson is appropriate for Upper Elementary to Middle School grades based on the reading level, and would be great to use for Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 - Oct. 15)!

This article is one I created in a series about Latin music. I was awarded a Fund for Teachers grant to travel to the Dominican Republic and interview musicians and dancers there to create a unit for my class about Caribbean music. The content of these articles is based on that research. Others in the series include: Salsa, Merengue, and Kompa.

Since this is a free product, please help me out with a review!
