What educators are saying

Great resource to use with students. Students were engaged in the lesson. We used this for our multicultural night.

Description

This lesson plan introduces the important history of kente cloth and explores the process of its creation through literacy and a study of Earth's natural resources. Discover the processes of making the thread, dying the thread, and who the people are working to create the beautiful and icon kente cloth. The lesson can be extended with an included video for your students to create their own colorful kente square which can be pieced together to make a classroom quilt.
