Description
"The Roosevelts: An Intimate History" is a documentary film series by Ken Burns that chronicles the lives of Theodore, Franklin, and Eleanor Roosevelt, three members of one of the most influential and iconic families in American history. The series covers the period from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century and explores the personal and political lives of the Roosevelts, as well as their impact on American society and culture.
Episode 1: "Get Action" (1858-1901) This episode covers the early life of Theodore Roosevelt, including his privileged upbringing, his struggles with health issues, and his political rise to become New York's governor and eventually vice president.
Episode 2: "In the Arena" (1901-1910) This episode covers Theodore Roosevelt's presidency, including his efforts to regulate big business, conserve natural resources, and establish America as a world power. It also covers the rift between Roosevelt and his successor, President William Howard Taft.
