Description

Instead of telling young people WHAT TO THINK let's teach them HOW TO THINK!

The nation is currently facing a nation-wide coin shortage! Chipotle made a special policy for customers paying in cash. Customer totals would be rounded up to the nearest dollar amount if bills were being paid in cash. A lot of Chipotle customers thought this policy was unfair and filed a class-action lawsuit in August of 2020.

In this lesson students will take the role of an attorney that is advising Chipotle and lead them through the process of a stakeholder analysis.

Students will:

  • Determine WHO the stakeholders are
  • Sort the stakeholders by influence and interest
  • Analyze their stakeholder groups to determine the best policy or decision for the company
  • Write a policy that Chipotle could adapt to make their most important stakeholders happy.

This download includes:

  • Teacher's Guide
  • PowerPoint Presentation
  • Student workpages (available as both editable PDFS AND word documents)
