Description

My students were enthralled with Just Mercy: A True Story of the Fight for Justice (Young Readers Edition) by Bryan Stevenson! The themes of race, poverty, age, gender, justice, and mercy were eye-opening and compelling for my students. Many Social Studies and Current Events teachers offer Just Mercy as a launch for great discussions and research opportunities. This novel will inspire students' interest in law and promote discussions relating to child development, justice, poverty, the foster system, incarceration, and the death penalty.
