What educators are saying
Great resource for introducing special needs. Students asked great questions and were fully engaged the whole time. The students loved to share things about them and difficulties/needs they have or someone in their family/friends/neighborhoods have.
I love this book and the accompanying resource is great to use as well. Recommend for the beginning of the year.
Description
Just Ask! Is a beautiful story about diversity written by Sonia Sotomayor. I created a product that will help teach your students about diversity. This product includes a lesson plan with everything that you will need to teach this story to your students.
Included in This Product:
- 1 diversity lesson plan complete with before, during, and after reading questions
- Specific and easy-to-follow procedures making planning a breeze
- 4 different picture cards for the introduction, or "hook," portion of this lesson (color and black and white)
- 1 writing worksheet in three different styles to help with differentiation
- 3 "making words" worksheets that could be used as an early finisher activity or morning work page
- 1 craft with examples and printable template (easy enough to do while staying socially distant)
Teaching about diversity is one of my favorite things. I believe it is so important for students to see the beauty in other's differences. I hope you enjoy this product! I put a lot of thought and love into making it. :)
