Description

This mega activity pack is the perfect addition to your jungle safari or zoo themes! Go on an adventure with your students as you learn about African animals and practice important academic skills. There are 15 different activities included and best of all--its LOW-RPEP and printer ink friendly! Both color and black and white printing options are available--simply print what you need!

The following contents are included:

Jungle Safari emergent reader activities--full size big book, student black line version and two different student worksheets are included.
Safari Read the Room/Vocabulary--12 different vocabulary cards as well as three different student recording sheets are included.
Safari Roll & Read--three different mats are available for students: (1) Roll & Read, (2) Roll, Read & Trace, and (3) Roll, Read & Write. This makes a fun literacy center activity!
Cheetah or Elephant? Long vowel/short vowel sound sort-- 18 different picture cards, sound mats and two different student worksheets are all included.
Safari Sentences--six different pocket chart sentencs, as well as 7 different student worksheets are included.
Animal Adjectives--adjective anchor chart, as well as parts to create a large posted with your students, animal adjective mats for ten different animals. Real life photos are used in this activity as well as student recording sheets. .
Safari Math--eight different addition and subtraction word problems that feature a pocket chart and student version of each problem.
➤ Safari Shop--students match coin combinations to items that they can purchase to go on a safari! Four different student worksheets are included.
Safari Roll & Graph animal cube and student recording sheet included.
Safari Clip & Count--two different types of clip cards are included. One where students count and identify groups/sets 0-20 and the other features number words 1-10. Four different versions of student worksheets are included.
Graphing/Survey questions--three different questions that can be used in either a pocket chart or used during a math station activity. Student recording sheets are also included.

Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, mental images, drawings, sounds (e.g., claps), acting out situations, verbal explanations, expressions, or equations.
