Description
John Keats, the tragic Romantic poet who died of tuberculosis at age 26, longed for “permanence in a world of change.” Your students will do a close analysis of four of his most famous poems, including
- “La Belle Dame sans Merci”
- “Ode on a Grecian Urn”
- “Ode to Autumn”
- “Ode to a Nightingale”
You’ll find two versions of the poems—one with line-by-line detailed annotations for you to use as you teach, and one version without annotations that you can copy and hand out to your students.
