Jesus Christ Superstar Lesson Plans

The instructional objective is to relate and analyze Jesus’ last days from those who were not his followers and understand why he allowed himself to be crucified.

The instructional materials will need to be copied or in order to save paper the internet will need to be accessed and the web pages can be shown to the class. The teacher will project the web page for each of the songs or give a copy of the material to students. The lyrics are toward the bottom but the video can be played in order to hear the song. (Make sure you are showing the lyrics to the students and not the video.) You want them to focus on the message in the song. Have students listen to the song as they follow along with the lyrics. The teacher will ask questions that are on the lyrics sheets, one by one having students offer responses for each question. There is an answer sheet for the questions and some discussion questions.

With a teacher-led discussion, students will better comprehend Jesus’s predicament at this time and have a better understanding surrounding the last days of Christ’s life.
