What educators are saying

This was a fun activity did with my students right before Spring Break. Students were engaged, it taught math skills, and they had fun.
Loved this! I used these as stations and the kids were able to complete the centers in small groups.

About This Resource:

  • This works well as a whole class activity to do during spring or around Easter! It would also be a great center activity with small groups and lead teacher for support, depending on age and needs.
  • Use this resource to sort, count, graph, talk about colors, greater than, less than, total, least, most, practice addition, multiplication, fractions, and more!
  • There are several uses and it could be adapted for older or younger students depending on your learning goals.
  • Of course, don't forget the jelly beans! Students will LOVE learning math while manipulating their jelly beans. Let them eat their candy at the end for an extra treat!

This resource includes:

  • 2 jelly bean sorting mats (one color and one black & white mat to fit a variety of color combinations)
  • 2 partial page graphs with questions at the bottom (includes a higher and lower level version -- color and black & white options)
  • 2 full page graphs (one color and one black & white)
  • 4 different levels of question sheets to pair with the full page graphs (choose the one that fits your needs).
