Japanese World Heritage Sites (Karuta Game)

Japanese Karuta Card Game

This is a traditional Japanese card game about the World Heritage sites in Japan.

There are three sets; an all-Japanese Set, and all-English set and a set with numbers of the pictures for purposes of easy-identification.

How to play

Print and cut out the desired set.

Spread the picture cards on the table.

Stack the description cards in a pile.

The teacher(or designated reader) takes a description card and reads it out aloud.

The players then race to pick up corresponding picture.

Continue reading descriptions and taking cards until all the picture cards have been taken.

The winner is the person with the most cards.
