Lastly, they will uncover the healing properties and scientific principles behind natural hot springs, or onsen, and explore the cultural and communal aspects of bathing in these rejuvenating waters.

    Through this series of lessons, students will not only gain knowledge about various facets of Japanese culture but also develop a deeper appreciation for the interconnectedness of nature, architecture, hospitality, and wellness in Japanese society. They will be equipped with a broader cultural understanding and a heightened awareness of the value of tradition and mindfulness in shaping contemporary lifestyles.
