“Help! How do you type 'cha' with small 'ya'?”

No worries! Typing Japanese is easy with this handy chart.

This printable list has all alphabetical combination you need to type Japanese characters.

Good for a classroom poster.

Includes all Japanese single syllables such as:

1) 46 characters of hiragana

2) 46 characters of katakana

3) voiced sound characters (i.e. letters with TenTen(") eg: がぎぐげご)

4) semi-voiced sound characters (i.e. letters with Maru (°) eg: ぱぴぷぺぽ)

5) contracted sound characters (i.e. letters with small letters. eg. きゃ、きゅ、きょ)

Also, an instruction on how to type double consonants (a.k.a. words with small っ tsu) included.

Note:

*Your PC needs to have a Japanese font (such as MS-IME) preinstalled.

*Type under Hiragana/Katakana mode
