Description
Japanese Days of the Week Headers: This is a classroom tested printable suitable for flash cards or display posters.
Please note that graphics are uniform in each set to ensure that students focus purely on the symbols (rather than associating individual images with particular days).
Contents
1 x brief explanation of the different Japanese writing systems
1 x reference table (listing the days of the week in English, hiragana, kanji and romaji).
1 x set of "Days of the Week" headers in English
1 x set of "Days of the Week" headers in Japanese hiragana script
1 x set of "Days of the Week" headers in Japanese kanji
Level of knowledge required
In order to read the Japanese headers a knowledge of hiragana and/or kanji is required.
Differentiation
I recommend using the hiragana set for beginner students and kanji set for more advanced students.
You may wish to make the headers double sided (e.g. English on one side and hiragana on the other, or for more advanced students English on one side with kanji on the other / hiragana on one side with kanji on the other).
