    Description

This Bundle focuses on the life and times of Japan under the Shogun. It has a 42 slide PowerPoint Presentation and 13 page Student Workbook that focuses on how Japanese culture evolved during the Edo Period. It covers how the Shogun isolated Japan due to what he saw as a threat to the Japanese culture and way of life. Take a deeper look into Japanese culture and how Japan dealt with the threat of change. See how Japan changed from within their isolation; the influence of the shogun, their economy, and their culture.

    The 42 slides include:

    • pictures, from my time in Japan or fair use, that allow students to see different views and allow for greater understanding of the Japanese Culture.
    • Vocabulary Slides with answers
    • Workbook style questions that include answers in-slide.
    • Charts and Fill-in the blacks

    The workbook includes:

    • 45 questions about Japan in the Edo Period and their isolation
    • 13 Vocabulary words
    • Workbook style questions that include charts and fill-in the blacks

This presentation and workbook have been made with the help and in-class use of the textbook "Worldviews - Contact and Change" (Chapter 14) but can be used alone or with other available resources. With purchase, the presentation and workbook, are alterable to fit your needs in the classroom.

The PowerPoint presentation and Student Workbook are designed to be used together. At this time all answers are in the PowerPoint and there is not a separate answer key.
