Jack-o'-Lantern Mystery Picture (Pumpkin, Color Grid)
Description
This activity is for students just beginning to learn about coordinate grids and map skills. The x-axis of the grid is letters and the y-axis of the grid is numbers. This project can be used for Halloween. Students will create a drawing of a Jack-o’-Lantern using various colors to fill in the grid.
This activity can be a class project or something to be worked on independently when time allows. It also works as an extra credit assignment or when there is a substitute teacher. Looks great on a bulletin board, too. They are fun for the students and they make learning fun!
This lesson includes graph paper for coloring, a list to fill in the colors and a full sized answer key.
If you like this project please let me know. We are working on creating more color grid projects.
