Description

Grade Sk-2 Writing Project to celebrate the fall season as a class.

Print pages on card stock or thick paper. Each student gets a page to add to our classroom book!

Discuss as a class what a pumpkin looks like, and then brainstorm ideas of what a pumpkin could be, other than just a real pumpkin (wheel on a car, basketball, bowling ball, balloon etc). Students then illustrated what that pumpkin could be using the pumpkin on the page. After illustrating, they would write about what they created!

Binding the book together to create a classroom book! Students loved when it was their turn to take the class book home and show off their hard work.

This is also great for a library project. Read stories about pumpkins and what they look like or how they grow as a class inquiry project. Then create a book together as a class and have the teacher read it.

Can also be used for digital learning. If you would like this as a powerpoint file, please message me! I'd be happy to share it.
