Description
This interactive notebook was created for a two hour FLES Italian class ages 5-6. May also be used for any beginning L2 class.
This file is most effective when printed/photocopied in color. It may also be used on a whiteboard as a Powerpoint presentation.

Page 1 Cover sheet
Pages 2-8 a set of teacher flashcards depicting fourteen different shapes with the word in Italian: il cerchio, l'esagono, l'ottagono, l'ovale, il pentagono, il rettangolo, il quadrato, il rombo, la stella, il cubo, il triangolo, il cuore, il trapezio e il cono.
Pages 9-20 Visual memory activity. Students observe a series of pictures, count down from five to zero and then view the same series of pics with one missing. Students guess which shape is missing.
Page 21 Matching word to shape
Page 22 Uguali o Diversi. Students circle same or different based on shapes they see
Page 23 Find the same shape and circle it
Page 24 Find the different shape and circle it
Pages 25-29 Cut and match. Two different matching games. Picture to picture and Picture to word. May be played with a partner or in a group
Pages 30-38 trace and write the word for nine different shapes
Pages 39-41 Cut and paste the shapes.
NB: File contains no English. Target language is Italian.
Pages can be bound together as a notebook. Simply use a hole puncher and tie all of the pages together with curling ribbon or yarn.
