Italian Carnivale History, Masks, and Activities

This 25 page bundle contains two readings, one covers the explanation of Carnevale masks, and the second the history behind Carnevale and the Battle of the Oranges in Ivrea, Italy. The opening page is a student guide to the activities including live links if students have one to one devices. The links include scenes from Carnevale in Venice, and the Battle of the Oranges in Ivrea. Additional links for children's songs are also included. There are three activities based on the readings, and the vocabulary list provided. After reading students will identify the types of masks, and label the pictures. The third activity is in Italian for upper level students, matching names of masks with descriptions. Finally, there are three pages on the "dolci di Carnevale" with illustrations.
