Invertebrate Dichotomous Key Worksheet with 14 Animals

You can use this activity to introduce or reinforce the learning of a Dichotomous Key. Each student picks their own animal and they must identify the animal using the Invertebrate Dichotomous Key. When they have identified their animal, they can make a double bubble map comparing and contrasting their animal with a different animal from a classmate. Or, they can follow the directions on the worksheet to create a poster using researched information about the organisms. You adjust the wording on the worksheet based on the learning objective.
