Introduction to the Layers of the Atmosphere

Zip file contains a notebook document and two worksheets/note sheets. This lesson is used to introduce the layers of the atmosphere how the the atmosphere changes with altitude. The lesson starts with students working in groups to brainstorm and develop a definition for atmosphere. There is a link to an online reading that is used with the describing wheel w/s. There is a powerpoint embedded to be used with the second w/s. The layers notesheet was designed for students to complete using a laptop while watching the powerpoint. However, it could be printed and used by hand.
