Introduction to Greek Mythology- PowerPoint, Guided Notes, and Article

Included is a PowerPoint that gives an overview of Greek Mythology to introduce students to the subject in the beginning of the unit.

- How the Greeks used myths to explain nature
- The influence of Greek mythology in our modern world- products, names, planets, psychological terms
-Information about the gods
-A comparison with Judeo-Christian religions
- Some of the major gods, heroes, and monsters

The PowerPoint comes with guided notes to help your students take notes on some of the important points. Their is also an anticipation guide and a short article for them to read. The article is a simplified version of a much more complex text. I would only use the simplified version with students who are struggling readers or ELLs. I did not attach the original article due to copyright.
