Description

This Introduction to Chemical Reactions worksheet was designed for middle and high school students who need help understanding everything involved in a chemical reaction. Key vocabulary includes chemical reaction, chemical change, precipitate, exothermic reaction, endothermic reaction, reactants, products, coefficients, subscripts, and the Law of Conservation of Mass. This double-sided worksheet features a helpful content summary at the top which students can refer back to while they’re working if they need help. Give as classwork, assign as homework, or leave for a sub!


This worksheet contains the following questions:
 Label It - Students must correctly label all of the different parts of a chemical equation. (8 questions)
 Matching - Students must correctly match the definition to the term. Excellent for essential vocabulary review! (12 questions)
 Balance It - Students must count the number of atoms on each side of the reaction and balance a chemical equation. (2 questions)
 Multiple Choice - Students must select the best possible answer for these challenging problems. (2 questions)
