Description

Trying to save paper? If you are looking for a worksheet version of these problems it is available in my store. These are the SAME problems as the "Identifying Decimals" worksheets in my TPT store, but in two different formats for students who may need a streamlined worksheet with less problems per page.

Identifying decimal practice with 10x10 grids! This is the PERFECT packet for students who need a little extra practice with their conceptual understanding of decimals and place value to the hundredths.

Includes scaffolded practice with:

  • Identifying and writing tenths
  • Identifying and writing hundredths
  • Identifying and writing decimals with tenths and hundredths

Contains 2 packets with the same material in each. One packet is a standard 3-page packet.

The other packet is LARGE print and can be printed and folded in half to make a booklet OR stapled in one or both corners to make a packet.

The packet gradually increases in difficulty, ending with writing decimals with both tenths and hundredths. Each page includes a mini place value chart to record a decimal in, and a space to record the fraction form of the decimal as well.

Great for beginners or for use right after an introduction to decimals lesson. Matches perfectly with my printable decimal work mat!

This packet is good for students to work on independently or in partners/small groups.

Express a fraction with denominator 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100, and use this technique to add two fractions with respective denominators 10 and 100. For example, express 3/10 as 30/100, and add 3/10 + 4/100 = 34/100.
Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line diagram.
