We watch Interstellar at the end of the year and this assignment was very helpful to prompt students to be thinking about what a habitable planet should have and the morality of making the decisions of who should inhabit said planet.
Description
This assignment places students directly into Professor Brand's position in the movie "Interstellar". They are tasked with the goal of finding a habitable planet and deciding who they will bring with them when the times comes to leave Earth. The product is a Google Slide or PowerPoint presentation.
Students should watch the movie in class or at home before they are given this assignment. My kids loved this movie and this project! Should take 3 to four days to complete the movie and the presentations.
