- PDF
Description
On 7 April, 1795, the metric system was formally defined in French law. The unit of length, the mètre, was defined as one ten-millionth of the distance between the North Pole and the Equator through Paris. Today, the International System of Units, (SI), is the most widely used system of measurement.
This adjustable wheel allows learners to visualize a range of measurements based on units on comparable prefixes. Includes three (3) pages of resources, also included in the FRANCE Activity eBook/Bundle. File is sized 8.5 X 11" and includes left adjust to use in a punched notebook. Suggested to be printed on cardstock paper and printed double-sided on long side.
Note: It is understood that the standard of measurement is the kilogram, not the gram; however gram is used to standardize the illustration based on prefixes.
