❇Background❇

We all know how hard those final days leading up to something exciting are. Once you get to the final five forget making it through a single hour of teaching without fifteen interruptions asking if it’s time to go yet. For some reason I always forgot how frantic those final days were until we were in them LOL. I cannot tell you how many half-formed quick thinking pumpkins and apples I cut out and hung up on the fly in those moments. Kiddos, especially younger kiddos, need a visual representation and reminder present to curb the questioning. I would usually have up a final 10 objects that represented the event and we would incorporate taking one down each day during morning meeting or calendar. The students that needed that frequent confirmation could do so as often as they wished without interrupting learning. Interactive counters can be prepped over summer and easily pulled out and hung to countdown to any occasion. Easily and adorably incorporated with magnets or clothespins wherever you need them!
