You will find simple directions on how to "FLIP" your PLC and add hands on activities for your teachers centered around Connecting with Data using DuFour's 4 questions for PLC.
*You will need Connect 4 Boards or the included paper form.
*Your teachers will work through a variety flips that will support them in grouping students by tiers and planning for intervention & enrichment activities.
Set the stage with engagement and follow it up with easy to use interactive activities that bring data to life.
Included in this file you will find the following:
- 6 sheets introducing what a PLC is and the components that should be consistently happening in your PLC such as 4 leading questions, engagement & a focus on standards.
- 2 pages of step by step directions to alter your Connect 4 chips.
- Paper option if Connect 4 boards are not available.
- 4 different flips to support connecting with data, grouping & intervention planning.
- Flip #1 Connect 4 Graphs: Teachers will bring predetermined data and sort students into 3 groups. Groups will be placed in Connect 4 games based on colored tier groups.
- Flip #2 Gallery Walk: Teachers take a gallery walk to explore ALL students on a grade level by viewing each other's boards-recording sheet included!
*6 page Google Slide Show provided for use during the discussion!
- Flip #3 Planning Google Slide Show: Share a Google Slide show to support planning groups for each tier.
*8 Page Google Slide Show provided for grouping and intervention ideas.
- Flip #4 Classroom Visit: Prepare the supplied Connecting with Data note and a sweet treat. Visit classrooms and observe the groupings and interventions in action!
