A hands-on creative, fun, and motivational writing unit, based on the 2018 book Inside the Villains by Clotilde Perrin.
Inspired by the oversize book, this unit created itself as I worked my way through it.
Having a class of many students with Specific Learning challenges (dyslexia, ADD, ADHD, ASD, and dysgraphia) providing writing that motivates and inspires students is key.
Unit includes:
- graphic organizers
- editable docs (on Drive)
- supporting videos for the writing process
Writing tasks included:
- More about me (character)
- Character blurbs (100-word limit)
- Origin story plan and supporting video links
- Narrative story plan - supporting video links
- examples of students' work (pictures) and written content.
- examples of specific sentences to support writing and encourage writing.
