Inquiry Based Investigation: Cloning
- Zip
Description
In this Inquiry Based Investigation , students will complete several tasks in order to gain a deeper understanding of cloning and the cloning process, take an informed position either for or against the process, and create a persuasive infographic explaining their argument.
What is an Inquiry Based Investigation ?
When doing an Inquiry Based Investigation , students do not wait for the teacher to provide an answer. Instead, they are actively seeking solutions, designing investigations, and asking new questions, learning to think and problem solve independently. They learn that there is no one place or one resource for answers, but that many tools are useful for exploring problems. Students are actively involved in making observations, collecting and analyzing information, synthesizing information, and drawing conclusions, while developing useful problem-solving skills. These acquired skills can then be applied to future "need to know" situations that students will encounter both at school, as well as in real world situations.
