Description

Are your students struggling with your curriculum's informational writing process unit? Using an informational writing graphic organizer, transition word list, informational writing paper, "glow and grow" reflection sheets, and a quick writing rubric, even your most impacted learners will find success!

These print-and-go informational research writing supports will motivate your students to do their best and will provide the structure they need through the use of graphic organizers to complete and even EXCEED expectations. Perfect for classrooms that support a variety of skill levels and learning needs.

*Use to support any writing curriculum and add structure to it - writing prompts are not included.


This product includes the following graphic organizers:

  • 2 note-taking sheets - with lines or with blank space to write/quick sketch
  • 5 body paragraphs - choose the number required based on grade and ability levels in your classroom
  • Introduction - scaffolded for a variety of responses
  • Conclusion - scaffolded for a variety of responses
  • Transition List/Sentence Starters - use as a reference tool for student journals or make into a classroom anchor chart
  • Final draft paper - 2 line styles available; primary lines and intermediate
  • Reflection Sheet - "Two Glows and a Grow" style to provide positive reinforcement for students in the Author's Chair when publishing. Equally quick and easy to use for a student or a teacher.
  • Quick Rubric - Standards-based rubric to quickly assess Content & Conventions for the finished product. Can be stapled or paper-clipped to the final draft.

>You will need to plan the type of editing and revising you prefer, based on your classroom, school, or district expectations. Many teachers use CUPS or (COPS) and ARMS, if they need a place to start with planning.
