Description

This unit gives students a deeper, standards-based understanding of the famous American Indian warrior Crazy Horse! I've included a variety of common-core aligned activities and texts that will certainly assess your students' comprehension! A wonderful addition to any Social Studies/ELA curriculum!

FEATURES

Two page reading passage (Lexile Level: 840) on Crazy Horse's life and role in the Indian Wars.

Passage Assessment- Students will find evidence from the text and practice skills like cause and effect, text structure, and more!

Tiered Timeline Activity- Two different versions of a timeline in which students must hunt for dates and sort key events. Version included where students must identify year as well as event.

Quick Burst Reading Passages- Students will learn more about Crazy Horse Memorial Monument and The Black Hills in South Dakota in these short reading passages!

Compare and Contrast/Opinion Essay- Students will compare and contrast reading passages and write a short essay using information learned from the passages!
