What educators are saying
I had no trouble introducing a new genre to my kids using this pack. It was simple to use and I was able to match it perfectly with our overarching objectives.
Description
This information reports sequencing packet includes: 15 Cut and Paste information report Sequencing activities, a poster, 6 pre-writing graphic organisers (with completed examples for 5), an editable basic template, and an editable rubric (written for upper primary students).
The poster comes in a one page size (colour and B/W), and then broken up into enlarged parts on a one page size to be used on a wall display (colour).
An activity I frequently use when teaching information reports is sequencing. This frequent exposure to a variety of information reports, allowed my students to gain an understanding of what is included in an information report, language features, common terms and structure.
Information Report Sequencing Activities Topics include the following:
Animals:
- Cockatiels
- Polar Bears
- Angel Sharks
- African Elephants
Countries:
- Italy
- Japan
- Australia
- Antarctica
Famous People:
- Benjamin Franklin
- Nelson Mandela
- Queen Elizabeth II
- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Outer Space:
- The Planet Mercury
- The Planet Jupiter
- The Planet Neptune
The Graphic Organisers are designed for pre-writing activities on the following categories:
- Animal
- Famous Person
- Place
- Food
- Object
Plus a general bonus one with a different layout.
You will find after each blank template that I have completed a sample on each category for you to use as a reference for any modelled/guided writing lessons on using the organisers.
PLEASE NOTE: I have used AUS/UK spelling in this product.
If you need any help or notice in an error in my work, please email me on jjresourcecreations@gmail.com and I will help and/or fix for you.
