Reading and interpreting non verbal clues is part of everyday life. We as humans use Social thinking every day in order to analyze reactions, plan conversation, and respond to others. When our interpretation is off we may do things that embarrass us and others. In order to make our students successful in not only school but in life we need to equip them with the ability to analyze nonverbal cues to infer others feelings, thoughts, motivations, state of mind, etc. We also need to give students the skills needed to predict in any given situation what may happen next. By giving students these skills we prepare them to be successful at school, home and in the workplace.
