Inferencing practice for high school (Visual & Written)

This is a bundle for high school students for an INFERENCING unit of study.

✤ This is the first unit I do, during the first week of every English class, because it's so important for students to be actively reading and making inferences throughout the whole course - it's key for them to learn to read between the lines!

✤ They learn how to critically read and use prior knowledge to make educated guesses.

✤ In this bundle is everything you need to teach about inferencing (and all the different types, such as written and visual).

✤ It really helps them to discover the importance of being active readers who are always questioning and making connections.

This is such a fun unit that I love teaching - I've developed this bundle over many years of covering this unit with my high schoolers :)

It involves a lot of mystery-based activities to keep students interested.

It's definitely geared for students at a high school level so please keep that in mind.

Based on customer's feedback, I've added in a second version of the one inferencing lesson for free that would be better suited with younger students!

You can mix and match whatever handouts and lessons you wish, based on your classes and their needs.
