Are you teaching a unit about Indigenous Peoples in Canada?
This is a set of three short, easy readings with comprehension activities. The readings are at a grade 6-7 level. They are suitable for Middle or High School Social Studies or Canadian Studies. Each reading is between 200-300 words and has been edited especially or ESL students.
The Topics are:
- The arrival (and quick departure) of the Vikings
- The Spanish & Portuguese
- The French & English
A map is included which shows the general routes of the Vikings, John Cabot, Jacques Cartier and Christopher Columbus.
Some colourful images are included to support the ideas in the text.
