Implementing an IAS Schedule in my class has been an absolute game changer! It creates independence and allows me to work one on one with other students! I can set up 25 bins on Monday and my students can rotate through them all week!! Tons of learning with minimal prep!!
How To Use Independent Activity Schedules (IAS)
1. Two options for boards : three blank squares or four squares with labels (Teachers Choice - My Choice)
2. There are four colors for the base of the boards. Blank Bases are included for you to print on Astro bright paper.
3. Attachments: There are 25 images in total. Each image has three pictures: The two small images (first ones) go on the bins and on the individual schedules. The larger images can be taped onto the base on shelf.
4. Student will go to their IAS Schedule and remove the top image and match it to the corresponding picture on the bin. The bins should be filled by the teacher before class.
5. The goal is independence! Make sure all activities included in the bins can be completed independently!
