Description

✓ Includes words (completely editable) and hand motions instructions for teaching!

✓ Great for integrating TPR (Total Physical Response) into your classroom!

✓ Universal Design- great for EL students, Gen-Ed, and SPED alike!

This quick chant will help your student learn about inches, feet, and yards. This is great to start out your unit on measurement- I've used it for introduction and review while teaching about measuring, choosing tools of measurement, estimating, and in measurement word problems. Once students learn the motions, this chant sticks with them and they will not stop chanting it... all... day... long! (It's a good thing!)

I use this chant with my second graders, but it would be fun with any grade that needs to review inches, feet, and yards in an easy to remember and fun way!

Happy learning! :)

Measure to determine how much longer one object is than another, expressing the length difference in terms of a standard length unit.
Use addition and subtraction within 100 to solve word problems involving lengths that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as drawings of rulers) and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
