This Italian City Unit Project: Mi ciudad ideal is an exciting project / presentation in which your students will get to design their own imaginary Italian cities and present their creations to their classmates. This is the perfect summative assessment / performance task to measure how much language your students have acquired during the Italian City Unit!
Students will use i luoghi vocabulary, le preposizioni di luogo, i mezzi di trasporto, gli avverbi, and le indicazioni (e l'imperativo) to describe their cities and give their classmates directions in order to navigate their cities, so this project is a phenomenal summative activity to ensure that your students have mastered critical components of your Italian City Unit.
This versatile and fully customizable project always tends to be one of my students' favorite projects of the year because of the creativity involved - students love being able to design their own cities and select the different places, street names, means of transportation, etc.
