Included are:
- 1 assignment with rubric and links to videos that walk the students through the assignment

- Questions that go with the assignment for students to do some critical thinking (and answers for the teacher)

- Finish example of the assignment for you to compare to your students.

In this assignment, you the teacher will be teaching students the very basics of image editing using Gimp (free photo editing software). I designed these assignments for teachers to teach it WITH 0 IMAGE EDITING EXPERIENCE.

With that in mind, the assignment is entirely video based and is built around creating a funny image called "Ostrich Academy" to grab student interest. It will walk students through 85% of it. The reasoning behind that lies within my core philosophy which is that life will not give you all of the answer you have to go out and find them. You have to REACH for them using critical thinking skills.

The REACH goals are incredibly attainable and can simply be done with a little bit of research. This will truly show who deserves the A vs “just giving good grades.” You can judge the rest using the rubric. Have fun and watch the students enjoy!

In addition to that, there are questions to go along with the assignment to provoke critical thinking instead of "just watching videos."
