Identity Theft: Fun Escape Room Style game for Trigonometric Identities

This product is an extremely fun way to test your student’s skills with simplifying and evaluating trigonometric expressions. It is set up similar to an escape room. Students will be placed into groups and given an identity card. Each identity card will have a famous mathematician on the top. The mathematician’s basic information will be missing. Students will need to go through the game tasks to find the missing pieces. These tasks include simplifying trigonometric expressions that will help unlock a locked box. This task will lead to another where students will have to evaluate trigonometric expressions. Ensure your students understand the unit circle in both radians and degrees well before handing out these problems! This second task will give students enough clues to open a second locked box. These tasks will be followed by a puzzle groups will need to solve together and a small scavenger hunt for the final missing piece.

I have had a lot of fun giving out this game. The students are always really engaged and they really love competing against each other.
