    These identity projects would be perfect for exploring diversity, representation, multiculturalism and student voice within the classroom. This social studies resource works well for exploring Heritage and Identity, as well as exploring cultural diversity within your class community. The Identity Project pack is also ideal for any social studies curriculum that focuses on traditions and celebrations. The projects are left very open so that your students can each choose what they would like to share; making it engaging and fun for all. The identity projects are perfect for teachers looking for ready to go lessons with plenty of activities sure to inspire interesting intercultural conversations in the classroom.

    This Identity Projects Bundle includes:

    • My Culture Project - This printable culture project contains space for your students to share their country, flag, languages, favourite traditional foods, a description of a special occasion they celebrate with their family, traditional outfits and other interesting facts about their culture. The culture project for kids is a 4 page booklet which can then be used for an oral presentation and/or classroom display exploring and celebrating the diversity within your class community. The resource also includes 4 printable worksheets for exploring class cultures further, and a display suggestion with accompanying template.

    • My Family Project - This project is a 4 page booklet which would be perfect for exploring family diversity, values, traditions and family structures within the classroom. The resource includes a project booklet, two drawing templates and two graphic organiser worksheets which could be used to facilitate conversations about similarities and differences between various types of families and what makes them special.

    • My Family Celebration Project - This project is a 4 page booklet which would be perfect for exploring family celebrations and traditions within the classroom. The resource includes both a project booklet and three graphic organiser worksheets which could be used to facilitate conversations about similarities and differences between the celebrations and traditions of your students and their families. The project is left completely open so that your students can each choose whatever cultural celebration or special holiday they would like to share.

    • My Special Symbol Project - This 'My Special Symbol' project is a 4 page booklet which would be perfect for exploring symbols (religious and non religious), values, traditions, backgrounds and cultures within the classroom. The resource includes a project booklet, three worksheets, a display creation template and an exploration sheet for introducing the idea of symbols, which could all be used to facilitate meaningful conversations about important symbols and what they mean to people.

    • Identity Iceberg - The identity iceberg is ideal for exploring identity, perception, diversity, prejudice and individuality with your students. This activities involves exploring visible and 'below the surface' identity markers. The identity worksheet is also a useful stimulus for class conversations about individuality, personality and identity.
