Description

This pack is Spring themed and will work across countries but it is tailored for the UK.

Made to fall in-line with the New National Curriculum 2014, this pack is to be used with Year 2 Shape objectives. All activities have the objective as worded in the curriculum on the top (no use of LO/ WALT/ LI to ensure it is useable across schools) and space for names. There is a mix of activities for group/guided work and independent reinforcement activities.

Included-
pg3-4 ‘Trace it, Name it’ worksheets for children to trace the 2D shape and write its name- good pre-assesment! Pg3 contains most well known 2D shapes whilst pg4 has more challenging flat shapes.

pg5 ‘Spin & Connect’ A 2-player game based round the concept of Connect 4- use a paperclip to spin a number and colour a shape with the corresponding number of sides. First with a line of 4 shapes is the winner- either laminate and use again or print and use 2 different colour crayons.

pg7 ‘Spin it, draw it, describe it’ Independent activity sheet with a focus on the properties of polygons.
