What educators are saying

These activities were super helpful for my students in understanding the size of a problem and what happens in their body.
I used this in small groups with a group of 1st grade and kindergartners. They found the rating scale very engaging and easy to understand!

Description

This resource contains several different options to help students begin to level their (1) feelings, (2) behaviors, (3) body cues and (4) triggers. Activities are provided in hard copy and digital format!

It also includes an intro lesson/activity to get your conversation going! You can use each lesson in order OR use them individually. These activities are a great companion to the SEL Sketches Size of Feeling video!

If you are in a pinch for time, I recommend using the Digital Format to introduce this topic, as it is very quick and requires very little prep time or materials! Then, if additional practice is needed, follow up with the hard copy options.

There is a bonus worksheet included in this set of activities! Following all of the scaling lessons, students can use the bonus pages to create their own feelings scales OR they can follow along with you and create them as you go through each scale! Once they’re done, laminate them and use them as an easy tool to help your students express their emotions throughout the day!
