Description

Updated: January, 2020. Fifty - nine teachers have bought this product. Since I joined TpT in May 2015, I have gotten a great response regarding my Global Studies products, especially to my products on ISIS, Iraq, Syria and Iran.

I call this package "Iran - longer version" because I have an "Iran - shorter version" which is about 30 slides shorter. This "longer" package, on Iran includes a power point, and two additional files: one for guided notes, and one for additional info regarding the "nuclear issue." The first section gives you an overview as to how Iran is the “odd – man – out” in the Middle East. For example, they are Persian, majority Shi’a and ruled by a theocracy, whereas most of the Middle East is Arabic, Sunni and ruled by kings. The next part of that power point focuses on reasons why Iran is fearful of their neighbors, of ISIS, of the USA, etc. The 3rd part concisely covers Iranian history from 1951 - the present. Finally, the last section deals with the nuclear controversy.

The power point includes lots editorial cartoons, provocative pictures and graphs and charts for the students to decipher. A guided note sheet is also included.

If you like my style and substance, check out my other 75 products on TpT at my TpT "store": 21st Century Global Studies.
