IEP Goal Tracker & Google Data Form | SPED TEACHER CASELOAD Progress Monitoring

If you’re a special education teacher working with students and/or paras, you need a system to keep track of how often you work on IEP goals! When you work on a team with multiple people collecting data & implementing IEP goals, it's important to lead in an organized way so that everyone is on the same page! You can use this system to have a visual of WHICH IEP goals have not been worked on recently.

The purpose of the IEP Goal Tracker: If you rotate paras like I do, it’s easy for there to be a lack of communication across days. Use this system so that IEP goals aren’t forgotten about! Give paras & yourself an easy way to track (digitally) on Google Sheets, with a simple “CHECK OFF”, initial and date system. There is a new tab for each quarter. Simply cut and paste your student’s goal areas/objectives & share with your support staff! [I include tech instructions if you need any help with deleting rows.]

The purpose of the included IEP Data Form: I used to strictly use paper data sheets, until I figured out how to make a Google Form data sheet a few years ago. Now that all my data is digital, it’s a breeze to collect, monitor, analyze & report on quarterly data!

Included is ONE example daily data sheet. This data sheet is a template google form you could use as a guide for your own caseload.

I make ONE data sheet per student. I personally don’t use the “response” page that google sheets creates for you - it is an option for you to use, however! Instead, I look at the bar and pie graphs that Google Forms creates for you periodically, do some quick math, and then plug the numbers into my student’s progress reports. At the end of the quarter, I save the data (download responses) & then “reset” for the new quarter. Another option is to just keep a blank template that you copy at the beginning of each quarter.
