What educators are saying

I always teach this song to Kindergarten. I loved having the visuals to use along with the song this year.

Description

I use this song all the time with primary grades and I needed a quality presentation with colorful pictures and fun sounds. This resource includes several versions of the song with and without pictures. In this file I included a set of "What's that Sound" slides to help kids hear sounds of real animals because so many students don't really know what the animals they love sound like!

I love teaching this fun folk song to my young kiddos (Kinder and 1st especially) because it stretches their range, connects to content about animals that they love, has a memorable catchline, and provides another chance to teach cumulative form! This will be a fan-favorite in your classroom and the PowerPoint in this kit will make teaching the song and reinforcing content so much easier.

This product includes:

*Several ways to work through and sing "I Had a Rooster" song: with single large pictures on a slide, with multiple pictures on accumulating word slides, with real animal sounds, and with no pictures on accumulating word slides.

*"What's that Sound?" slides with actual animal sounds (it's fun to do the song with kids imitating the actual animal sound!).

*Two slides of sheet music with chord tabs.

*Slides can be rearranged and activities moved around or taken out to fit your needs.
